ROUGIER: 2025 Half-Year Review Affected by Global Challenges
The Rougier Group, a specialist in African timber, has published its results for the first half of 2025. Revenue reached €38.7 million, marking an 18.6% decrease due to weak global demand and logistical problems. EBITDA fell to €6.6 million, representing 17.0% of revenue, compared to 18.2% in 2024. Consolidated net income amounted to €(0.8) million, a significant decrease compared to €3.1 million the previous year.
Net debt reached 58.4% of equity, up from 53.9% in December 2024. Despite this context, Rougier is strengthening its sustainable strategy with full FSC certification in Africa, enabling access to internationally demanding sustainability markets.
In the short term, the group remains confident and able to stabilize its business while maintaining its commitment to responsible forest management aligned with incoming European regulations.
