GTDC Summit EMEA Highlights the Business Case for AI, Sustainability and Marketplaces

NOORDWIJK, NETHERLANDS / ACCESSWIRE / June 5, 2024 – Top executives gathered this week at the 20th annual GTDC Summit EMEA, hosted by the Global Technology Distribution Council. The event addressed crucial ICT industry topics, featuring keynote speakers and thought leaders.

AI and rapid innovation were central themes. Distributors invest heavily in tools and services to support vendors and ICT partners. "Innovation means little without the systems and support mechanisms in place to scale sales and adoption across the channel ecosystem," stated Frank Vitagliano, CEO of the GTDC.

Vitagliano also highlighted core services like logistics, billing, and credit. He emphasized investments in cloud marketplaces and platforms, which are expected to drive considerable growth in the coming years.

The GTDC introduced new resources, including the Beyond the Marketplace Report and the Vendor's Guide to Market Data, available at the GTDC Knowledge Hub.

Sustainability was another key topic. Global ESG leaders discussed new initiatives, including a GTDC project focusing on the lifecycle of IT systems. More information will be released by project leader Dominique Deklerck.
