Guanajuato Silver Announces New El Cubo Mineral Resource Estimate
Guanajuato Silver Company Ltd. has released a new mineral resource estimate for its El Cubo mine complex in Mexico. The update shows an 85% increase in inferred mineral resources, totaling 35.6 million silver-equivalent ounces. Inferred mineral resource tonnes rose by 179% compared to previous assessments. Despite significant mining activity, indicated resources have only declined by 23%.
The 2024 estimate, prepared by APEX Geoscience, complies with Canadian NI 43-101 standards. It updates previous resources for numerous Guanajuato Silver's operations, including San Ignacio and Topia mines. Exploration potential remains significant, with further drilling planned to convert inferred resources to indicated ones.
The increased resources highlight El Cubo's significance in Guanajuato Silver's hub-and-spoke strategy. With total inferred and indicated resources amounting to significant silver-equivalent ounces, the company aims for continuous growth and optimization of its mining operations.
