Guanajuato Silver Announces Resignation of Ramon Davila
Guanajuato Silver Company Ltd. (GSilver) has announced that Ramon Davila is stepping down as President and member of the Board of Directors. The company, a major producer of silver and gold in Mexico, honors Davila's 49-year career in Mexican mining.
Davila expressed his desire to retire from daily operational duties to spend more time with his family. He joined GSilver in May 2021 and played a crucial role during challenging times for the Mexican mining industry. Despite stepping down, Davila will remain as an advisor to the company.
Davila's career includes significant roles with Industrias Penoles, Minas La Colorada, and First Majestic Silver Corp. His contributions have left a lasting impact on the mining sector in Mexico, especially at First Majestic, where he helped transform it into the country's second-largest silver producer.
GSilver's Chairman and CEO, James Anderson, praised Davila's guidance over the past three years and looks forward to his continued advisory role. Anderson acknowledged that the company wouldn't be where it is today without Davila's experience and leadership.
