Guanajuato Silver Provides Operations Update
Vancouver, BC / ACCESSWIRE / August 27, 2024 / Guanajuato Silver Company Ltd. (TSXV: GSVR) (OTCQX: GSVRF) has shared updates on several projects at its wholly owned mines, including the Topia Mine in Durango, Mexico, the San Ignacio Mine in Guanajuato, Mexico, and the El Horcon Mine project in Jalisco, Mexico.
At Topia, a new filter system for silver-gold-lead concentrates has been successfully commissioned, with another for silver-zinc concentrate production to follow. The new filters are expected to help meet full production capacity and produce higher grade concentrates.
The San Ignacio Mine features a new ore sorter nearing commissioning. This advanced system is expected to improve efficiency, enhance material grade, and reduce costs. San Ignacio contributed 15% of the company's Q2 2024 silver-equivalent production.
El Horcon Mine has resumed processing surface stockpile material, generating over 125,159 silver-equivalent ounces from late 2023 to mid-2024. An underground sampling program is also underway to map and survey the mine's extensive tunnels, aiding future operational decisions.
