Gulf Coast Blood Center Selects HemoFlow 500 and HemoVue Cloud Service
Grass Valley, CA / ACCESSWIRE / June 11, 2024 / Applied Science, a global leader in blood collection products, announced that the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center (GCRBC) has acquired the HemoFlow 500 and HemoVue cloud service. These tools provide real-time operational data and analytics, enhancing blood collection efficiency.
GCRBC, a nonprofit accredited by the FDA, supplies blood to over 170 hospitals in Texas. The center will upgrade from older HemoFlow 400 devices to 100 new HemoFlow 500xs, offering advanced software features for better device configuration and management.
The HemoFlow 500 series weighs 3.5 lbs and supports up to 230 draws per charge. Features include a touch-screen, barcode scanner, and wireless connectivity, optimizing the donation process and increasing efficiency.
Jonathan Morgan, President and CEO of Applied Science, stated that the automation benefits lead to improved efficiency, reduced errors, and better inventory management.
