HHLA Revises 2025 Outlook Amid Economic Uncertainty
Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) has adjusted its financial outlook for 2025, citing increased global economic uncertainties, particularly influenced by US trade policies. The company anticipates less robust growth in volume and earnings due to ongoing supply chain disruptions and modernization efforts at Hamburg port facilities.
The Port Logistics sector anticipates a significant rise in container throughput compared to last year, though less than initially expected. Container transport is forecasted to grow strongly. Revenue is still projected to increase substantially, but the operating result (EBIT) expectations have been revised downwards to €145 million-€160 million from a prior range of €180 million-€200 million.
Despite adjusted EBIT expectations at the Group level (now €160 million-€175 million), a strong revenue increase is anticipated. In the Real Estate sector, revenue is expected to rise slightly, but EBIT may see a substantial decline.
