Hannan Metals Ltd. Announces Major Copper and Silver Discovery in Peru

Hannan Metals Limited, a company focused on resource exploration, revealed a significant find in its San Martin West project within northern Peru. The discovery comprises a new form of sediment-hosted copper-silver mineralization, with notable outcroppings that extend over 2.3 kilometers. These findings include a remarkable sample of 5.8 meters at 3.1% copper and 65 g/t silver. This discovery is situated 45 km west of the area where Hannan recently received a drill permit.

The mineralization showcases high-grade copper and suggests the potential for even richer deposits below the surface. The area, characterized by dense vegetation and challenging terrain, harbors a 10 to 30 meters thick stratigraphic unit of medium to coarse-grained sandstone and sedimentary breccia, which is the host rock for these mineral deposits. The company’s Chairman and CEO, Michael Hudson, expressed enthusiasm for this discovery, pointing out its significance for the ongoing exploration efforts and the upcoming drill program at Tabalosos.

This discovery aligns with Hannan’s strategic goals in Peru, positioning the company as a key player in the exploration of copper and silver resources. The San Martin project spans a large area and displays geological features comparable to major deposits in Eastern Europe. Hannan's exploration strategy involves detailed mapping and geochemical sampling, with preliminary results showing promising concentrations of copper and silver.

Furthermore, the company highlighted its partnership with the Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC), which supports the advancement of the San Martin project towards a feasibility study with significant investment. This collaboration underscores the project's potential and Hannan's commitment to developing sustainable metal resources.
