Heart of America Foundation Wins 2023 Chapman Prize for Excellence in Educational Empowerment
The Daniel and Barbara Chapman Trust has announced the Heart of America Foundation (HOA) as the recipient of the 2023 Chapman Prize. HOA is recognized for its efforts in addressing resource disparities and enhancing educational opportunities for students across the United States.
HOA’s initiatives include space transformations, resource distribution, and strategic consulting, impacting over 2 million students in historically marginalized communities. Their efforts have revitalized more than 1,100 spaces and provided significant educational resources, including 4.4 million books and $9.5 million in learning technologies.
The Chapman Prize Selection Panel commended HOA’s dedication to improving educational environments through modern resources and revitalization projects. HOA will receive a cash award of approximately $91,000.00, allowing it to expand its impactful projects further.
