Helvetia Appoints Bernhard Kaufmann as Group Chief Risk Officer
Bernhard Kaufmann has been appointed as the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and will join the Group Executive Board of Helvetia Insurance starting in November. Kaufmann brings extensive international experience in risk management, previously serving as the CRO at NN Group since 2020. Prior to that, he was Group CRO at Munich Re Group.
In May 2024, Helvetia announced the integration of Group Risk Management into its Group Executive Board. This move aims to enhance governance and ensure reliability for customers, employees, and investors. The new Group Risk Management function will oversee strategic, financial, operational risks, and ESG activities.
The appointment of Kaufmann completes the realignment of Helvetia's Group Executive Board. According to CEO Fabian Rupprecht, the new structure will strengthen Helvetia's international dimension and improve diversity within the management team.
