Hep solar Launches Perendale Solar Park in North Carolina
On October 11, 2024, hep solar celebrated the commissioning of the Perendale solar park in Mocksville, North Carolina. The facility has started feeding solar power into the grid, with all electricity sold to EnergyUnited. The project is part of the HEP-Solar USA 2 fund, managed by HEP Kapitalverwaltung AG. The park, with 18,200 modules over 50 hectares, boasts a capacity of 9.8 MWp (DC) and supplies solar energy to about 1,400 homes.
Based in Baden-Württemberg, hep solar has over 30 solar projects in the U.S. Their current pipeline includes projects with a total capacity of around 1,760 MWp (DC). Ongoing constructions in North Carolina include two new sites: the Dill and McDowell parks, with respective capacities of 13.3 MWp (DC) and 2.5 MWp (DC).
