HERIGE takes measures to address the crisis in the construction sector
HERIGE, faced with a significant decline in the construction and renovation markets, is launching a strategic transformation project. The latter aims to adapt the group's organization to maintain its competitiveness in a changing sector.
The company presented to the staff representatives a reorganization plan based on four axes. The project envisages an improvement in operational performance and industrial rationalization. It also includes the revision of the commercial organization and the sale of non-strategic assets generating 4 million euros in turnover.
The project could result in a 10% reduction in staff. HERIGE wishes to continue the social dialogue in order to reach an agreement on the accompanying measures. The objective is to sustainably reduce annual costs by 7 million euros.
The Chairman of the Management Board, Benoît Hennaut, underlines the need for this transformation to overcome recent cyclical and structural challenges. HERIGE also proposes not to pay a dividend for the 2024 financial year.
