Hg Expands Partnership with Anthropic to Enhance AI Capabilities

Hg has announced the extension of its collaboration with Anthropic to integrate agentic AI capabilities across its portfolio. This strategic venture aims to leverage Claude's agentic functionalities to drive value creation within Hg's portfolio companies. The firm's AI incubator, Hg Catalyst, will play a crucial role in deploying these capabilities.

Since initiating their partnership in 2024, Hg and Anthropic have focused on AI initiatives, resulting in significant budgeted EBITDA impacts. Hg was among the first private equity firms to collaborate with a frontier AI lab, integrating AI into its business processes and contributing to outcomes in companies like Quantios and GTreasury.

Co-CEOs of Hg, Steve Batchelor and JB Brian, highlighted the strategic importance of their relationship with Anthropic in adapting to AI advancements. Guillaume Princen from Anthropic emphasized the transformative role of agentic AI in scaling software businesses while ensuring high safety standards.
