Strategic Realignment at Sport1 Medien Group: Management Change Announced
Sport1 Medien Group, part of Highlight Communications AG, continues its strategic realignment efforts. The initiative began in 2024 with Acunmedya Holding B.V. acquiring a 50% stake in Sport1 GmbH. In July 2025, the group successfully sold its subsidiary, PLAZAMEDIA GmbH, to DMC Production GmbH, further simplifying its corporate structure.
In a managerial shift, managing directors Robin Seckler and Dr. Matthias Kirschenhofer have stepped down. Tufan Özkul assumes the role of operational manager, bringing extensive international media sector experience. The board expressed gratitude to the former directors for their service and support to Özkul in his new position.
