Historic €149 million grant for Lhyfe's Green Horizon project
Lhyfe has just received a €149 million grant for its "Green Horizon" project. This award was confirmed by the French Prime Minister in collaboration with Marc Ferracci, Minister of Industry and Energy. This funding is part of the second national hydrogen strategy (SNH II) and represents the largest of the three announced grants.
Green Horizon, located near the Grand Canal in Le Havre, aims to produce up to 34 tonnes of green hydrogen per day to decarbonize one of Europe's largest industrial port areas. The project is expected to achieve an installed electrolysis capacity of 100 MW.
Coordinated with Bpifrance, the payment of an initial tranche of 18 million euros is planned by June 2025. The following stages of financing will be released according to milestones established over a period of four years.
