HLEE Group Reports Stable Financial Results for 2023

Highlight Event and Entertainment AG (HLEE) disclosed its annual financial outcomes for 2023, demonstrating a stable performance amidst challenging market conditions. The Group's consolidated sales reached CHF 421.4 million, a decrease from the previous year's CHF 524.0 million, primarily due to factors affecting the Film segment's production. Simultaneously, the EBIT recorded was CHF -3.5 million, influenced by foreign currency fluctuations.

The net result for the year showed an improvement, narrowing losses from CHF -21.1 million to CHF -20.1 million. The Group's equity ratio improved slightly due to a capital increase, from 28.2% to 29.4%, while total assets decreased to CHF 790.5 million from CHF 819.9 million.

In the same report, HLEE highlighted positive developments across its operating segments. The Film segment excelled with several box office hits in Germany, and the Sports and Events segment saw robust sales activities and renewed key partnerships. Key achievements included high viewer ratings for the World Darts Championship and continuing sponsorship success with events like the Eurovision Song Contest.

Looking ahead to 2024, the Group remains cautious due to ongoing economic uncertainties but is optimistic about the potential of upcoming film releases and sports event partnerships. The transition in the CFO position, with Hasan Dilsiz set to replace the retiring Peter von Büren, marks a significant managerial change as the Group continues to navigate challenging times.
