HMS Bergbau AG Extends CEO Dennis Schwindt’s Contract
Berlin, 10 September 2024: The Supervisory Board of HMS Bergbau AG, a global raw materials trading and marketing firm, has extended the contract of CEO Dennis Schwindt until 31 August 2029.
Under Schwindt's leadership, the company has experienced substantial growth, with sales and earnings surpassing EUR 1 billion. His expertise has been crucial in the company’s international expansion and its strategic shift from coal trading to a broader commodity-based portfolio.
Heinz Schernikau, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, expressed confidence in Schwindt’s ability to guide HMS Bergbau AG through its ongoing transformation.
Schwindt expressed gratitude for the continued trust and outlined plans to leverage existing structures for further growth, including the development of rare earths and other minerals.
