Holcim Advances Circular Construction with Acquisition of Land Recovery in the UK

Holcim has acquired Land Recovery in the UK, furthering its initiatives in circular construction. Land Recovery, a leading UK supplier of recycled construction materials, processes rail ballast into new solutions and supplies construction demolition materials for products like ready-mix, precast concrete, and asphalt. This acquisition aligns with Holcim's goal to recycle 10 million tons of construction materials in 2024. Last year, Land Recovery recycled over 300,000 tons of materials.

Miljan Gutovic, CEO of Holcim, stated, “Land Recovery strengthens Holcim’s position in circular construction and advances our target of recycling 10 million tons of construction demolition materials in 2024.” Land Recovery, founded in 1982 by the Beecroft family, operates four facilities and employs 85 people.

This transaction follows Holcim's earlier acquisition of Sivyer Logistics, a producer of recycled construction demolition materials for the London market.
