HOPIUM announces progress in the development of its hydrogen fuel cell
On April 10, 2024, HOPIUM, a specialist in hydrogen fuel cell electric motor technology, announced the completion of the design phase of commercial versions of its fuel cell and the start of prototype manufacturing. This milestone marks significant progress in the development of their eco-friendly propulsion solutions.
The process was supported by the use of digital twins which made it possible to optimize the 100 kW and 200 kW versions of the fuel cell even before the physical prototypes were produced. This method has proven the effectiveness and reliability of the simulation tools used by HOPIUM, an ambitious cleantech in the decarbonization of heavy transport.
The current success reflects the expertise of HOPIUM's R&D teams, made up of aeronautics and automotive professionals. These technical advances now pave the way for the production of functional prototypes, foreshadowing the commercial launch planned for early 2025. To finance this decisive phase, HOPIUM is exploring new financing, while benefiting from existing support from Atlas Special Opportunities.
The company reiterates its commitment to the energy transition and aspires to a cleaner future through hydrogen fuel cell innovation, essential for reducing CO2 emissions in the heavy transport sector.
