HOPIUM: First conclusive tests of the 100 kW Hopium battery
Paris, July 10, 2024 - HOPIUM (FR0014000U63 - ALHPI), specialist in low-carbon transport solutions, announced the success of the first tests of its 100 kW fuel cell. Preliminary tests on sealing, electrode polarization and physical dimensions confirmed the results of Hopium's numerical simulations.
The battery meets the compactness criteria set by the company with a weight of 30 kg and a cell thickness of less than 1 mm. Stéphane Rabatel, CEO of Hopium, welcomed these validations, made possible by the studies carried out upstream.
Factory tests will continue with a gradual ramp-up. Hopium plans to validate its performance by the end of July, followed by tests in real road conditions in the fall of 2024, before marketing it at the beginning of 2025.
