HOPIUM inaugurates a low-carbon industrial site in Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure
On December 12, 2024, HOPIUM, a specialist in the decarbonization of heavy transport, inaugurated a low-carbon production site in Saint-Bonnet-de-Mure, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The event brought together partners, journalists and suppliers.
Located in the Rhône-Alpes hydrogen corridor, this 1,000 m² site focuses on fuel cell assembly, R&D, and testing. Equipped with solar panels, it benefits from a strategic location within an ecosystem dedicated to hydrogen.
During the inauguration, participants explored the premises and attended various workshops. Stéphane Rabatel, CEO, presented technological advances, including more compact and lightweight fuel cells, and highlighted the partnership with K-Challenge.
Hopium is adopting a strategy focused on design and assembly, capitalizing on the innovations of its suppliers. This approach will enable cost optimization to meet the first orders in early 2025.
