Hopium will install a fuel cell assembly site in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region

Paris, June 18, 2024 – Hopium, the cleantech company specializing in the decarbonization of heavy transport, announced the establishment of an industrial site in Lyon, in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. This site will bring together fuel cell assembly activities as well as the Research and Development (R&D) and validation teams.

This strategy allows Hopium to optimize its production capacity while benefiting from a dynamic environment and a pool of qualified talent. Key battery components, such as bipolar plates and membranes, will be supplied by specialist partners, allowing Hopium to focus on the assembly and software development of its batteries.

This project received the support of the competent authorities, demonstrating their confidence in the future of the company. Hopium also expresses its gratitude to the Normandy region for its initial support and remains open to future collaborations.
