Huawei Unveils Global Digitalization and Intelligence Index Report for Power Industry
At the Huawei Global Electric Power Summit during HUAWEI CONNECT 2025 in Shanghai, Huawei launched the Global Digitalization and Intelligence Index (GDII) Report for the Power Industry. This report aims to assist global power companies in their digital transition through quantitative evaluation and strategic guidance.
Jo Cops, Chairman of the International Electrotechnical Commission, highlighted the importance of real-time monitoring of low-voltage grids for stability in the power systems, especially with the increasing adoption of PV systems and electric vehicle chargers.
David Sun, CEO of Huawei's Electric Power Digitalization BU, emphasized the crucial role of digital and intelligent solutions in addressing future power system challenges. Huawei's innovative system aims to aid power companies in digital transformation across all aspects of power generation and consumption.
The summit also introduced the 2025 Global Electric Power Showcase, a collaborative effort between Huawei and State Grid Shaanxi to enhance transparency and management in low-voltage distributed new energy systems.
