Hygreen Energy Announces Expansion Plans in Europe
Hygreen Energy, a prominent global electrolyzer manufacturer and hydrogen technology developer, has unveiled its ambitious expansion plans in Europe. The company aims to establish a new electrolyzer manufacturing facility, launch a high-efficiency electrolyzer R&D program, and develop green hydrogen production plants in Spain.
The new factory in Malaga will initially produce 5-Megawatt electrolyzers, meeting European standards, with a capacity of up to 5GW, adjusted to market demand. Additionally, an R&D program focused on advancing electrolyzer technologies, including an alkaline 10-Megawatt testing platform, will be initiated.
Hygreen Energy also plans to construct green hydrogen production plants in Huelva, Andalusia, partnering with strategic entities to reach up to 1.12 GW. These projects are expected to infuse over €2 billion into the region, boosting the hydrogen economy.
This expansion aligns with Spain's goal to build 11 GW of electrolyzer capacity by 2030, with Andalusia poised as a leader due to its renewable energy potential. CEO Benny Wang emphasized that these initiatives will position Hygreen Energy to leverage Europe's growing hydrogen market, offering tailored electrolyzer solutions.
