Hygreen Energy Launches New AEM Electrolyzer Systems, Delivery Begins September 2024

BEIJING, CHINA and MADRID, SPAIN / ACCESSWIRE / September 16, 2024 / Hygreen Energy introduces its first Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) electrolyzer system. This launch expands the company's product portfolio beyond alkaline and PEM electrolyzers, aiming to meet diverse global hydrogen production needs.

The new AEM electrolyzers are customizable up to 100 Nm3/h (500 kW) of hydrogen and operate across a load range of 10% to 120%. Key features include a plug-and-play solution, advanced safety standards, and a wide operating load range.

The first customer for Hygreen's AEM system is China's "Hydrogen into Ten Thousand Homes" project. A 10 kW system will be delivered in September 2024 for technology demonstration and research. Expected commissioning is in October 2024.

"Our AEM system combines safety, operational flexibility, and ease of deployment," said CEO Benny Wang. The new system aims to be competitive across various applications, complementing the company's existing alkaline and PEM electrolyzers.

The AEM technology uses anion exchange membranes to separate water into hydrogen and oxygen, operating at lower temperatures and pressures. This enhances efficiency and scalability, critical for renewable energy and industrial applications.
