IBU-tec Signs Major Contract with PowerCo for LFP Battery Materials

IBU-tec advanced materials AG has inked a significant contract with PowerCo SE to produce LFP cathode materials for automotive batteries. This agreement targets a volume in the mid-double-digit million-euro range. Production will commence in 2026 at IBU-tec's Weimar site, focusing on expanding purchase volumes until full capacity is reached.

The targeted annual production capacity exceeds 3,000 tons by 2028, marking a projected rise in IBU-tec's revenue from 2026 to 2028. Current sales for 2025 are estimated between EUR 43 - 45 million. This contract aligns with IBU-tec's strategy to integrate into the European battery materials market.
