IBU-tec's Founder Ulrich Weitz Transitions to Executive Board Role
IBU-tec advanced materials AG has announced key changes in its leadership structure. Founder Ulrich Weitz will step down from his role as Chairman of the Supervisory Board effective 31 October 2024 and will join the Executive Board as Chief Product Officer on 1 November 2024. Sandrine Cailleteau has been elected as the new Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board.
Ulrich Weitz will focus on advancing the company's battery materials segment, which recently secured a significant order from the automotive sector. The shift comes at a moment of promising development within the battery materials field. Weitz's experience and connections are expected to facilitate IBU-tec's growth in this area.
The change is part of a strategic move in response to 2024's challenges and an anticipated positive economic outlook for 2025, particularly within the battery business. The Weitz family remains a significant shareholder with 47% ownership in IBU-tec.
