Ilmor and GM Marine Showcase Innovation at Lake Havasu Events

In April 2024, Ilmor and GM Marine presented their high-performance marinized engines at two key events in Lake Havasu City, AZ: SuperCat Fest West and Desert Storm LHC. These events are renowned for featuring some of the fastest pleasure boats globally.

SuperCat Fest West, in its 2nd year, showcased boats alongside events like Fun Runs, dock parties, and a Poker Run. This event raised $370,000 for charity, surpassing previous records. Shortly after, the 26th annual Desert Storm Poker Run & Shootout, the largest performance boating event in the western U.S., featured a street party, parade, poker run, and shootout.

Ilmor's Supercharged 650 engine, based on the GM LT4, was a highlight. It boasts a 20,000 RPM Eaton TVS Supercharger, producing 650 horsepower and 665 lb-ft of torque. The company also displayed the MV8 570, a 570 HP engine using GM's LS architecture, known for its efficiency and enhanced performance.
