Indiana Toll Road Announces Spring 2024 Pavement Improvement Projects

The Indiana Toll Road Concession Co. LLC (ITRCC), which operates the Indiana Toll Road (ITR), has announced its Spring 2024 Pavement Rehabilitation Mill and Fill Project. Set to begin in early May, the project targets pavement improvements at key segments on both eastern and western ends of the toll road, specifically between mile markers 10 - 20 and 123 - 157.

The pavement upgrades address deterioration due to the severe freeze/thaw cycle earlier this year. By executing most of the construction work during off-peak hours, from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., ITRCC aims to minimize disruption and delays for travelers. Motorists are advised to heed construction signage and reduced speed limits during this period.

Rick Fedder, Chief Operating Officer of ITRCC, emphasized the balance of necessary road construction and minimizing inconvenience for road users. The project is scheduled to complete most of its work before the Memorial Day holiday. Plans for additional pavement and bridge improvements in these regions are also in progress, with expected completion in late 2024 and 2025.
