Hong Kong Strengthens Role as Housing Innovation Hub
The Hong Kong Housing Bureau and the Housing Authority organized the HOUSING · I&T Summit 2025, attracting over 400 experts from more than 15 countries. The event centered around the theme "Pioneering Innovative Housing for a Sustainable Future," reflecting Hong Kong's commitment to advancing housing through technology.
The Summit's symposium emphasized four key themes, promoting discussions on enhancing housing via innovative solutions. Hong Kong's Secretary for Housing, Winnie Ho, highlighted the city's role as a "super connector" and "super value-adder" in public housing innovation.
A highlight was a visit to a smart Modular Integrated Construction factory in Zhuhai, demonstrating technology already serving Hong Kong's public housing projects. Attendees noted the efficiency and speed of construction.
The Summit underlined Hong Kong's unique position to leverage Chinese Mainland support for strategic growth in housing technology and regional collaboration.
