Singapore Tops Global Talent Competitiveness Index

Singapore has claimed the top position in the Global Talent Competitiveness Index (GTCI) for the first time, surpassing Switzerland. This achievement is attributed to its strong focus on nurturing adaptable, digitally fluent, and innovation-oriented workforces in the era of artificial intelligence.

Launched by INSEAD, the GTCI ranks 135 economies based on 77 indicators, covering aspects like soft skills and AI talent concentration. The 2025 report highlights the importance of resilience and strategic policy orientation in talent development. It notes the ability of economies such as Israel and South Korea to achieve superior talent outcomes with limited resources.

Regionally, Europe continues to dominate, while North America's skilled talent cultivation is evident. The report also stresses the significance of adaptive capabilities in maintaining competitiveness.
