Inspire and Takeda to Present Novel Study on Short Bowel Syndrome at DDW2024

WASHINGTON, DC / ACCESSWIRE / May 21, 2024 / Inspire, the largest global health community and real-world evidence platform, will present new research at Digestive Disease Week (DDW) 2024. This research offers insights from a mixed-method study on the experiences of Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS) patients.

The collaborative study by Inspire and Takeda highlights the physical, social, and emotional challenges faced by SBS patients and caregivers. SBS, resulting from missing or damaged sections of the small intestine, heavily impacts patients' nutritional intake and often necessitates long-term parenteral nutrition (PN) reliance.
