Intershop Publishes Figures for the First Half of 2024

Jena, 24 July 2024 – Intershop Communications AG generated revenues of EUR 19.0 million in the first half of 2024, compared to EUR 19.4 million the previous year. The cloud business saw a 32% increase in revenue, reaching EUR 10.3 million, now accounting for 54% of total revenues. Cloud margins climbed from 58% to 66%, and incoming cloud orders rose by 18% to EUR 11.4 million.

Service revenues declined by 28% to EUR 5.1 million due to the complexity of major projects. License and maintenance revenues decreased by 19%, aligning with the company's strategic focus on cloud services.

Gross profit remained stable at EUR 8.4 million, while the gross profit margin improved slightly to 44%. Operating expenses dropped by 4% to EUR 8.9 million. EBITDA increased to EUR 1.1 million, up from EUR 0.9 million last year. EBIT was slightly negative at EUR -0.4 million.

Earnings after taxes improved to EUR -0.7 million, compared to EUR -1.1 million in the previous year. Cash flow from operating activities declined to EUR -0.7 million, largely due to higher trade receivables. The company maintains a positive outlook for the full year, expecting moderate revenue growth and a break-even EBIT.
