Intershop Unveils AI-Driven Product Strategy at Annual Shareholders’ Meeting
Jena, 16 May 2024 - Intershop Communications AG, a leader in B2B e-commerce solutions for manufacturing and wholesale sectors, held its Annual Shareholders’ Meeting today, showcasing its new product strategy centered on artificial intelligence (AI). The event, which was both in-person and streamed online, highlighted the future direction of the company’s Intershop Commerce Platform.
CEO Markus Klahn emphasized the importance of AI in the platform’s development, citing favorable evaluations in recent studies by IDC and Forrester. Chief Financial Officer Petra Stappenbeck discussed the company’s 2023 financial achievements, noting a significant rise in cloud revenues, which constituted 43% of the total revenues. She outlined ongoing efforts to enhance profitability through the Value Creation Program.
COO Markus Dränert, a recent addition to the Management Board, introduced upcoming AI applications integral to Intershop’s product offerings. The Board expressed confidence in meeting their strategic objectives for the forthcoming quarters following a strong start to the year.
