Introducing the Weldon: Portland, Maine's Newest Boutique Hotel

The Weldon, a boutique hotel located at 54 York Street in the Old Port, will open on August 1, 2024. Featuring 13 fully appointed one- and two-bedroom suites, it caters to travelers seeking longer stays with its ApartHotel design, which includes larger living spaces and separate rooms for sleeping, dining, and working.

Local owners Chris DiMillo and Jay Hibbard have collaborated with Fathom Companies to reimagine the property. The Weldon offers mid-century modern furniture, fully-equipped kitchens, luxury linens, co-working spaces, a gym, and additional storage amenities.

DiMillo highlighted the charm of Portland's Old Port and described The Weldon as an ideal blend of hotel hospitality and apartment living. Brandon Hussey of Fathom Companies emphasized the high-tech, low-fuss experience tailored for families and remote workers.
