Ivanhoe Electric Selects Fluor for Santa Cruz Copper Project Study
Ivanhoe Electric Inc. announced the selection of Fluor Enterprises Inc. as the lead consultant for the Santa Cruz Copper Project Preliminary Feasibility Study (PFS). The study aims for completion by the end of Q2 2025. Alongside Fluor, other consultants like BBA USA Inc., Stantec, and KCB Consultants Ltd. will focus on specific project aspects.
The infill drilling program at Santa Cruz is substantially complete, with 185 development drill holes totaling 133,000 meters. Recent drilling has identified additional high-grade copper intercepts. For instance, drill hole SCC-208 intersected 181.81 meters at 1.72% total copper.
Further step-out drilling at the Verde Domain has extended the boundaries of high-grade copper mineralization. For example, hole SCC-196 intersected 66.60 meters at 1.53% total copper. Ongoing exploration efforts will focus on the Southwest Exploration and Texaco Areas to test for new copper mineralization.
