Julius Baer Nominates Noel Quinn as Chairman
Julius Baer Group Ltd. has announced the nomination of Noel Quinn as non-executive Chairman. The decision will be finalized at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for April 10, 2025. Quinn is set to succeed Romeo Lacher, who has chosen not to seek re-election. Until Quinn's official start on May 1, 2025, Vice Chairman Richard Campbell-Breeden will serve as interim Chairman.
Noel Quinn, previously Group Chief Executive at HSBC, brings extensive experience from his 37-year career in global financial services. His appointment signifies Julius Baer's strategy to leverage his expertise as the company seeks further growth and development.
The board also announced that Andrea Sambo will not stand for re-election, while all other board members will. A detailed strategy update with new medium-term targets will be presented on June 3, 2025, in London.
