Kalo Gold Identifies 25 High-Priority Gold Targets in Fiji
Kalo Gold Corp. has announced the identification of 25 high-priority gold targets within the Aurum Epithermal Field at the Vatu Aurum Project in Fiji. This discovery underscores the district-scale potential of the region. The exploration program involved collecting 12,079 soil samples over a 4.9 km² area in Aurum Prime, leading to significant advancements in geological understanding and the development of a comprehensive geological model.
The company has confirmed newly defined structural trends: Namalau, Loma, and Buca, along with the Qiriyaga Complex, as significant mineralized corridors. These findings suggest a long-lived, intact gold-bearing hydrothermal system. Analysis revealed geochemical indicators such as selenium and arsenic, which support the presence of an elevated epithermal system.
Kalo Gold is planning a multi-phase 2025 drill program, including trenching, soil sampling, and geological mapping, subject to obtaining financing. The program aims to refine exploration targeting within the identified zones to assess their economic potential.
