Kalo Gold Unveils Seven Gold Targets in Fiji's Vatu Aurum Project
VANCOUVER, BC - November 7, 2024 - Kalo Gold Corp. has identified seven new epithermal gold targets in its Vatu Aurum Project, Fiji. Located along the 1.5 km Namalau Trend, these targets lie within the 28 km Nubu Graben. The discovery highlights extensive hydrothermal sinters and geochemical markers such as selenium, mercury, and arsenic, indicative of significant mineralization potential.
Geophysical surveys of the Namalau Trend show northwest-southeast structures enhancing metal deposition along fault zones. Kalo has begun a program to collect 8,000 additional soil samples, aiming to expand exploration to other promising areas within an 11 sq km zone. This effort will help rank and prioritize targets with further trenching and drilling planned for early 2025.
The findings include significant trench discoveries at the Dua Target, with quartz veins and high-temperature hydrothermal features. Continued exploration may unlock substantial gold potential in this prospective region of Fiji.
