Kapsch TrafficCom – First Quarter 2024/25 Results
Kapsch TrafficCom reported a 5% increase in revenues to EUR 139 million for the first quarter of 2024/25. Despite significant operational improvements, EBIT remained negative at EUR -3 million, influenced by deconsolidation effects. The overall financial situation shows signs of recovery, particularly in net working capital and free cash flow.
The company witnessed a 9% revenue increase in its tolling segment, but a 5% decline in traffic management revenues. EBIT improvements in the tolling segment to EUR 3 million were offset by a EUR -7 million result in traffic management due to lower revenues and deconsolidation effects.
Regionally, the EMEA region experienced an 8% increase in revenues, while the Americas saw a 5% rise. The Asia-Pacific region, however, faced a 16% decline due to completed projects. Operational cash flow showed considerable recovery, moving from EUR -15 million to EUR 4 million year-on-year, contributing to a positive free cash flow of EUR 1 million.
While the equity ratio improved slightly to 20% due to decreased total assets, net debt increased to EUR 110 million. Future revenue growth above market forecasts and enhanced adjusted EBIT are expected for the fiscal year.
