Kapsch TrafficCom's Results for the First Three Quarters of 2023/24
Kapsch TrafficCom announces its financial results for the first three quarters of the fiscal year 2023/24 with a revenue of 400 million euros, down by 4% compared to the previous year. Despite this decrease, partly due to customer credit adjustments and ongoing projects, the company highlights an improvement in its financial situation thanks to a settlement agreement in Germany. EBIT has significantly increased to 70 million euros.
Georg Kapsch, CEO of the company, optimistic about the future, emphasizes organizational improvements and processes that would reduce the need for value adjustments, thereby strengthening competitiveness. Significant events include the settlement of a legal dispute in Germany bringing 79 million euros to the group, and financial adjustments and a capital increase have also strengthened the financial structure.
Operationally, Kapsch TrafficCom continues to develop and conclude new projects, especially in tolling services and traffic management, marking continued momentum in the market. Despite a slight decline in revenue, recent projects and orders are laying the foundation for future growth.
The tolling segment experienced a decrease in revenue, but a significant increase in EBIT, reflecting the effects of an agreement in Germany. The traffic management sector saw an increase in revenue and EBIT, indicating a stable performance.
This year marks a turning point for Kapsch TrafficCom, with a substantial improvement in its operational results and a reduction in its net debt. For the fiscal year 2023/24, the company expects revenue growth and a marked improvement in EBIT.
