Kestrel Gold Updates on QCM Exploration Activities
Kestrel Gold Inc. (TSX-V:KGC) has provided an update on the exploration activities undertaken by Centerra Gold Inc. on the QCM gold property in central British Columbia. Centerra aims to acquire a 75% interest in QCM through $6,500,000 worth of exploration work, including at least 13,500 meters of drilling.
Recent activities at QCM included collecting 109 rock samples and 1,231 soil samples focused on the 14 Vein showing and extensions to the Main Zone. Centerra plans to compile and interpret these results before planning additional work, including a likely fall RC drill program.
Kestrel President and CEO Rob Solinger expressed satisfaction with the progress while highlighting the significant benefits for Kestrel shareholders.
QCM spans 8,729 hectares along the Manson Fault Zone. Historical drilling in the area showed promising results, such as 2.86 g/t Au over 110.95 meters and 173 g/t Au over a 1.5-meter interval. Enhanced access from recent logging activities aids ongoing exploration efforts.
