Kia PV5 Cargo Breaks Guinness World Record for Electric Van Range
Kia Europe GmbH has announced a significant achievement for its Kia PV5 Cargo, which set a new Guinness World Record. The electric light commercial vehicle (eLCV) covered 693.38 kilometers on a single charge while carrying its maximum payload. This achievement marks a milestone for Kia's first dedicated electric LCV and highlights its efficiency and practicality.
The record-breaking drive, utilizing the PV5 Cargo Long Range 4-door variant with a 71.2 kWh battery, took place on the 30th of September 2025. The van travelled under real-world conditions north of Frankfurt, Germany, with a load of 665kg.
Kia's President, Marc Hedrich, emphasized the significance of this milestone for their new entry into the LCV market, showcasing the model's real-world capabilities. The meticulous preparation and adherence to regulations, supervised by TÜV Hessen, added credibility to the achievement.
