Kickstarter Campaign Launched to Preserve Darrell Vernum's Musical Legacy

In a bid to safeguard the extensive musical legacy of Darrell 'Dr D' Vernum, Richard Allen, owner of Thatsafact.com, has initiated a Kickstarter campaign. This campaign, titled Darrell Vernum Lost Records, is designed to recover and share Vernum's music and art that risk being lost following his online accounts' deactivation. Details can be found on the campaign's Kickstarter page.

Darrell Vernum, a revered artist from Schenectady, NY, and Austin, TX, left a vast digital archive of his works, including recordings and writings about music and education, which became inaccessible after his death in December 2020. Collaborator and friend Richard Allen now seeks to legally retrieve these works from online storage with the cooperation of a cloud service company.

The Kickstarter aims not only to save Vernum's digital works but to share them widely. Allen, having worked closely with Vernum for nearly 30 years in bands such as Is, Sense, and The Infidels, emphasizes the cultural value of these archives. With support, they hope to prevent the imminent deletion of this content and honor Vernum's contribution to music and art.
