Kingfisher Metals Identifies New Copper System at Golden Triangle
Kingfisher Metals Corp. has announced the discovery of a new porphyry copper system beneath the Hank gold-silver deposits at its HWY-37 project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle. This discovery, confirmed during the 2025 exploration program, highlights a significant copper-gold system potential below the epithermal deposits. The project, encompassing 849 km2, has now completed its 2025 field activities.
Drilling of the Lower Hank Porphyry target (HW-25-011) revealed porphyry-style alteration and mineralization over 429 meters, hinting at a large deposit beneath the known gold-silver system. Observations suggest a porphyry core could be near, surrounded by altered and mineral-rich zones.
Geophysical surveys and airborne magnetics initially targeted this potential, leading to successful drill results. The exploration model was validated, indicating the probable existence of a large-scale porphyry copper-gold deposit in the Hank area.
