Knorr-Bremse Approves Dividend Increase and Appoints New Board Member

At the Annual General Meeting, Knorr-Bremse AG shareholders approved a 7% increase in dividends, raising it to €1.75 per share for 2024. The total distribution now stands at approximately €282 million, reflecting the company's solid operational performance. This decision aligns with Knorr-Bremse's long-term policy of a 40% to 50% payout ratio, despite non-recurring non-cash items affecting net income.

The meeting also elected Stephan Sturm to the Supervisory Board, representing the Heinz Hermann Thiele Family Trust. This change brings two family trust representatives to the twelve-member board. Sturm fills the vacancy left by Dr. Theodor Weimer's resignation. Held virtually, the meeting saw a 90.22% representation of Knorr-Bremse's share capital.
