Knorr-Bremse Reports Strong Order Intake for Q1 2025
Knorr-Bremse Aktiengesellschaft has released preliminary financial figures for the first quarter of 2025, showcasing a significant order intake. The company, based in Munich, reported an order intake of approximately €2.376 billion, surpassing the expected €2.066 billion. However, revenues of €1.958 billion fell slightly short of the €1.973 billion consensus.
Despite the strong order intake, operating EBIT was €236 million, missing the expected €243 million. The operating EBIT margin was recorded at 12.1%, just below the anticipated 12.3%. Net income was €143 million, lower than the consensus of €152 million, primarily due to restructuring provisions under the BOOST program.
Notably, free cash flow improved to €15 million, a significant rise from the previous year's negative figure, aided by a €45 million tax refund. The complete financial results will be released on May 8, 2025.
