Kontron Lands EUR 65 Million Rail Infrastructure Contract

Vienna, Austria – Kontron AG, a leader in IoT solutions, has secured a EUR 65 million contract for developing a new platform for a European signalling and rail infrastructure provider. This system is vital for authorizing train movements and ensuring safety standards. The agreement is a significant step for Kontron in enhancing global rail safety and operational efficiency.

The interlocking platform is part of the Interlocking 4.0 initiative, focusing on safe rail operations with enhanced capacity and reliability. Utilizing advanced signalling technology, the system aims to prevent collisions and unauthorized movements.
