KSB Achieves Solid Growth in First Half of 2024 Despite Economic Challenges

In the first half of 2024, KSB SE & Co. KGaA reported notable increases in order intake, sales revenue, and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT). The Frankenthal-based pump and valve manufacturer saw order intake rise by 2.2% to €1,645 million. The KSB SupremeServ Segment performed exceptionally well with a 7.2% increase to €550 million, driven by strong spare parts demand in the Energy and Mining segments.

Sales revenue grew by 3.7% to €1,439 million, with the SupremeServ Segment again leading the way at a 7.5% increase. The Valves and Pumps Segments also contributed positively with increases of 5.1% and 1.1%, respectively. KSB's EBIT rose by 3.7% to €116.3 million, maintaining an 8.1% EBIT margin.

CEO Dr. Stephan Timmermann expressed satisfaction with the results, attributing the growth to robust strategies despite global economic challenges. However, the company faces future costs related to the transition to SAP S/4HANA, expected to impact earnings in the second half of the year.
