KWE to Open Its Third Warehouse in Pyeongtaek, Korea
Kintetsu World Express (Korea), a subsidiary of Kintetsu World Express, Inc., announced plans to construct and inaugurate a new warehouse in Pyeongtaek, Korea, by October 2024. This facility aims to support the growing semiconductor industry in the region.
Pyeongtaek has become a central hub for semiconductor production. The influx of manufacturing companies is expected to drive the demand for specialized logistics services. KWE Korea's new terminal in this area will feature temperature-controlled, refrigerated, and frozen rooms, accommodating diverse cargo types, including semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
KWE Korea has previously launched Terminal 1 in April 2021 and Terminal 2 in April 2022 in the Poseung National Industrial Complex. With the new terminal, KWE Korea seeks to solidify its market presence and enhance service delivery, leveraging its status as the only Japanese logistics company with a dedicated warehouse in the region.
This expansion highlights KWE Group’s commitment to the semiconductor sector, a strategic growth area, by providing tailored logistics solutions to meet customer needs.
